the public to the joys of Theatre Organ music and to encourage an appreciation of the instrument in its native environment, namely the accompaniment of the great but mostly forgotten epics of the silent film era.
- A program of scholarships to encourage young musician to pursue the pipe organ (in all of its forms) and particularly as a medium for popular music.
- A program to distribute audio CD's of theatre pipe organ music to public libraries all over the state. To date, over 300 theatre organ CD's have been donated to libraries free of charge.
- Finally, the EMCATOS provides a place of active fellowship among people who share a love of these wonderful instruments. Monthly meetings, private concerts and field trips to see and hear other great
organs are just a few of the activities EMCATOS members enjoy.
